How Much is Enough ?

MOST PEOPLE WORK for a LIVING and CAN IDENTIFY with the CHALLENGES of BEING a BREADWINNER.

The SIGHT of HARDWORKING MEN and WOMEN Providing for their Families needs warms the Hearts of those who Understand the Labor of Love it represents.

Such People are more than Responsible Human Beings.

Their Devotions to Duly makes them respected members of their communities and in the eyes of their families they are heroes.

Something Bad can happen to these Hard-Working Heroes,

However, when they begin to consider their accumulated wealth and reasonable level of affluence insufficient.

What causes the distinction between a need and a want to become blurred ?

When do wants become unwarranted and out of control ?

Why are seemingly successful people sometimes willing to risk personal and financial ruin by grasping for more ?

In TOLSTOY`s, `` How much LAND does a MAN need “ the Peasant PAHOM declares `` Our only trouble is that we haven`t land enough if i had plenty of land i shouldn`t fear the devil himself “ The Devil having overheard PAHOM`s remarks,

Thinks to himself, `` All Right, we will have a tussle.

I`ll give you land enough , and by means of that land i will get you inti my power “.

As his life`s energy is engaged in a continuous quest to find the `` MORE “ that would be land enough, PAHOM dies.

The STORY`s Questions is answered: `` His servant picked up the spade and dug a grave long enough for PAHOM to lie in and buried him in it. Six Feet from his head to his heels was all he needed”.

It can be difficult to know when enough is enough.

PEOPLE TODAY Worship Beauty !

They Spend Billions to buy make-up, creams, potions and lotions.

The Plastic Surgery Business is Thriving from nose job to Liposuction,
people by the thousands flock to the doctor`s offices.

You`ve seen it Yourself.

The Airwaves in the U.S. and in the Philippines are clogged with
infomercials that promises to tuck that tummy and tighten those abs.

All you need is their exercise equipment or cosmetic line to look great.

The Gospel of beauty is incessant with its message of,
" You too can be beautiful - Just buy our Products ."

These Programmes distort the importance of Physical Beauty as well as
promote the misconception that everyone should and be outwardly
beautiful.

People seems to be judged by their appearance, not the value of their
hearts.

People spend inordinate amounts of Time in Hyper Self-Consciousness
about their looks.

Distorted values, ruined relationships and anorexia have been the fruits
of this obsession.

DON`T BELIEVE THE LIE

It is important to understand that the images projected by the Media of
perfect faces and bodies are a complete fabrication.

The Media selects the smallest portion of the Top One Percent of the
Most Beautiful People as Models.

They then completely `remake' them.

It is not unusual for a model to be required to have all of her teeth pulled and replaced with a ' perfect ' set of implants.

They may also require these hopeful, potential supermodels to undergo plastic surgery of all sorts, before photo shoots they tape, wire and push them into the garments to be showcased.

Hours are then spent in a chair being worked on by professionals make-up artist and stylists to paint on just the right look and arrange their hair in the desired fashion.

The expert Photographer then finds the perfect location, waits until the lighting conditions are optimum and stages every aspect of the picture.

But even all this is not enough.

Afterwards the photographs are retouched to a false perfection that could not be achieved even through all of the other artificial means utilized.

Thus, the fantasy of the ' cult of beauty ' is perfected and perpetuated.

As some supermodels have themselves said no one really looks like that.

No One is Perfect.

It is a Media fabrications.

It is Sad that so many gullible people have made beauty their ' de facto ' religion.

They make it their primary goal and focus in life to live up to this artificial and unachievable standard.

interestingly beauty is to a degree in the eye of the beholder.

In the middle ages - and even today, in some latin cultures - a beautiful woman was hefty by modern western standards.

Ads depicting lithe, scrawny models may sell jeans in the U.S. and Europe but fail to draw anything but sympathy in some parts of the world.

So beauty is relative, depending upon one`s point of view.

Consider that if everyone were beautiful, a beautiful person would be average.

The truth is that everyone can`t be beautiful, but that doesn`t mean that those who aren`t beautiful are without value.

All of US can still make contributions to the world by living happy, productive lives - regardless of our gender, achievements, our wealth.

Especially of how we look.

" What you see may be the first impression but character is what last."

"Be sure to keep your head before your heart so you can objectively see whether or not that good-looking person is truly a beauty and not a beast."
